The Gathering Ministry Christian Church
The name of the church was birthed in me from the Lord. The Lord told me that it was time for me to gather his people back to him, henceforth the name “The Gathering Ministries”. The church is Non-Denominational with everyone in mind. The vision came to passed & launched on April 6, 2011 at a Country Inn and Suites Hotel in LaGrange, GA. With the unction of the Holy Ghost and the opening of doors, we started conducting our Sunday morning worship services. When we began, it was just our family attending on Sunday morning. In August we added two new members to the church. With the support of my headquarter church, we went out into the community in an Evangelism effort to let the surrounding area know about our ministry. We had an evangelist effort every month until August 2011.
On August 13, 2011, EMFAC leader late Bishop L.D. Skinner from Columbus, GA lead & conducted the Installation services.. It was at this service I was installed as the Pastor of The Gathering Ministry.
In November 2011, we moved into our second location, the Ashley Diner/The New Gospel building; here, we conducted our Sunday Morning Worship service. The address was 206 Union Street, LaGrange, GA. Our church growth has been slowly coming in, but the disciples that we do have are faithful in their attendance and in the giving of their Tithes and Offerings. I am excited about what God is about to do for our ministry as a whole, and I am dedicated to the call of God on my life. The Lord told me, if I remain faithful, the blessings will come. I humbly declared the favor of God for our new building to manifest itself and become available for us, in Jesus' name. Amen.
In January 2014 the Lord told me to change the name from The Gathering Ministries to "The Gathering Ministry Christian Center". After being obedient to the Lord, the Lord blessed us with a 9600 square-feet building. Watch this; I want to show you how good God is when you are faithful to Him. When God blessed us with the building, we only had eight adults and one youth. In June 2014, The Lord moved mightily in blessing us to move into our own building at 623 Juniper Street, Lagrange, Ga 30240. The building was previously owned by the Boys and Girls Club. In June, we had our first service in the Fellowship Hall. The building has gone through some new renovations and upgrades, and we moved into our new sanctuary in August 2021.
In August 2025 we had our church mortgage burning ceremony.
